Hello, my name is Jahzara Hawthorne. I’m the creator, author, and illustrator of the Nola the Dog Book series. Creating art and designing on my computer is one of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy spending time with my dog Nola. I hope my book Nola the Dog and future Nola the Dog books will be enjoyed by everyone who takes the time to read and support my creativity.

Real Life Nola

Nola is a dog who is in the 3rd grade. Nola is kind, funny, and adventurous. In her free time she likes to hang out with her best friends. In the Nola the dog book series, some of the adventure's she goes on is to the carnival, camping, and just hanging out with her friends.

Polly

This is my dog Nola. She inspired me to write the Nola the dog stories. The character Nola in the book is based on what my real dog looks like.

Patrick is a pig. Patrick is funny, cheerful and energetic. When not with Nola he likes to jump in mud puddles in one row. In the Nola the dog book series, Patrick is a fun friend to have around.

Polly is a panda. Polly is calm, confident and thoughtful. She likes to be outside and smell the fresh air. She also likes to sit on her swing on cool days when at home. Polly is the tallest in the group.

Jake

Sunny

Jake is a rabbit. Jake is gentle, polite, and sometimes shy. He has an older sister. He likes to spend time with his family. In the Nola the Dog book series, he doesn't talk a lot, but that won't stop him from having fun.

Sunny is a bee. She is brave, loyal and silly. She lives on a tree. She likes to fly around town with her brother. When not with the group she likes to be on her favorite tree stump.

These three are baby chicks. They live on a farm with their mom and dad. Each of them helps with work. Most of the fruits and vegetables in the town come from their farm.

I purchased this book for one of my grandchildren. She’s two years old and loves reading. The book was absolutely beautiful. It kept my grandaughter entertained the entire time. When we read I ask a lot of questions to make sure that she is comprehending what she reads. She answered all of the questions and even wanted to be the storyteller. We look forward to more Nola the dog adventures.

This book is fun and age appropriate! The illustrations have vivid colors and cute charactors! Will be looking for the next book in this series!

Purchased this book for my granddaughter! She's going to love it just as I did! Great story and beautiful illustrations. Highly recommended.
